how to open this file type?

Hi all. Someone sent me two atachments with a .pps extention. Does anyone know how to open this file type? Also does anyone know what a file with a .pps extention is? Thanks.

pps files are powerpoint files. It might be a presentation or something. I don't know if pps files could be used as virouses but if you trast the person who send them i don't se any problem opening them.
